The March 2001 edition of GuitarOne magazine mentioned Boston in their article Where Are They Now?. Here's what they had to say:
"Boston's notorious perfectionist Tom Scholz has historically had a hard time squeezing songs and albums past his own Quality Control department. At last check, our favorite MIT grad was holed up in his Boston studio with guitarists Gary Pihl and David Sikes working on a new album."
Well, they got that about 1/2 right. Boston is in the studio, but David Sikes isn't in the band (hasn't been for quite a while). Also, David Sikes was the bass player, NOT guitarist.

I just wanted to address something that I've been asked quite frequently lately, "When will Boston be touring?". As of now, it is unknown, but I think once the album is out, there will very likely be a tour to promote it (if it's out this year, it would also mark the 25th aniversary of Boston).

Not as bad as the House of Blues Christmas gig, but bad just the same. I could tell it was only going to get worse so Muzz cancelled us for Point Breeze tomorrow. My apologies to one and all."

More Than A Session: Boston's in Studio
The new independent label Artemis Records added Bay State Supergroup Boston to it roster of acts last March, and a label spokesperson reports the band is currently in the studio and expected to have a new album out by summer or fall. The group still includes two original members, founder/guitarist Tom Scholz and vocalist Brad Delp.
Looks like the album is still a long time away
