Well, it looks like we'll have to wait longer for the Corporate America release. According to a source at ICE Magazine (a music industry publication), the new release date is November 5/02.

Of course, that's subject to change.

According to Billboard.com, Corporate America is indeed scheduled to be released on Tues, Aug. 27/02

Info on all upcoming music releases can be found at

If you missed the original Rockline interview with Boston in Jan/99, you can catch it again. The re-broadcast of the Boston Rockline will take place on Wed. Aug. 7 at 8:30pm PT (11:30pm ET).

To find a station that will broadcast the show, check out the affiliates listing on the Rockline site at http://www.rocklineradio.com/ and a list of stations that broadcast over the internet can be found at

I didn't believe it when I first heard about this, but it seems to be true; the title track to Corporate America. Melocicrock.com has a listing for a band called "Downer's Revenge" and a download of one of "their" songs. Well, it's Boston.

First of all, I don't know how melodicrock.com got a copy of this before anybody else or why they are covering it up as another person's work. But I checked it out anyway...

A few things about the song. First, it seems that Fran is the lead singer on this track, with Kimberley and Tom on backup (can't hear Brad there so I assume he isn't on this song). Signature Boston drum triggers and organ. First for a Boston song is the "reporter montage" (clips of reporters in background).

Anyway, it's currently available for download from melodicrock.com

Lyrics are now available for this song.

Boston headed out into a field in MA to do a photo shoot. It was shot by Ron Pownall (who's been the band photographer for many years).

This information comes from the Boston Office:

The album title will indeed be Corporate America. There is no official release date yet. There is however, a track list. It goes as follows:

I Had A Good Time
Stare Out Your Window
Corporate America
With You
Someone
Turn It Off
Cryin'
Didn't Mean To Fall In Love
You Gave Up On Love
Livin' For You ("Live")

The airing of Boston Behind the Music for July 23 has been cancelled. It is not known at this time when it will be rescheduled for. More updates to follow.
On July 23 at 8:00pm, VH1 will be broadcasting a Boston version of "Behind the Music". I don't have any other details than that. I don't know when it will be aired in Canada (on MuchMoreMusic), but details will be released when it becomes available.

First of all, just so that there's no misunderstanding, the update I'm about to make is not official word and has not been confirmed by any credible source:

From what's been circulating, the title of the new Boston album will be Corporate America. The tentative release date being set for Tue. August 27/02.

When this info has been confirmed to be either true or false, it'll be updated here.
