Boston vocalist Brad Delp was involved in a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon. He was not hospitalized, but was banged up somewhat. Brad was to perform with his Beatles tribute band Beatle Juice this weekend, but the shows for this Friday and Saturday at a benefit show scheduled in Marblehead, NH and a show at the Rochester Opera House have been cancelled. I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Brad a speedy recovery.

The following was published in the Portsmouth Herald and posted on the Gonna Hitch a Ride forum:

Beatle Juice, New England’s Beatles tribute band, has postponed the concert scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 the Rochester Opera House because of injuries sustained by lead singer Brad Delp. Delp is also the lead singer for the band BOSTON.

John Muzzy, the spokesman for Beatle Juice released the following statement on Wednesday:

"Brad was in a motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon. He was coming over a hill and his brakes failed to stop him from going into a suddenly stopped car and to subsequently flip over the car.

"The motorcycle ended up on his left leg and he sustained some injuries including many stitches and splinting of his left hand, loss of nail on his left foot and a fair amount of whiplash related injuries.

"Brad wanted me to extend his deepest regrets in not being able to do the show this weekend and wanted me to assure you and the folks in Rochester that we would make every effort to make up this show ASAP. As you can imagine we are all relieved there was no life threatening injuries sustained."
