Bloomberg has published an article regarding a lawsuit between Paul Ahern and BOSTON founder Tom Scholz.

Ahern, the former manager for BOSTON, is suing Scholz to prevent the termination of his copyrights that were assigned as part of a 1975 agreement. Scholz had indicated back in January that he intended to terminate those rights, which would end in 2015. The U.S. Copyright Act of 1976 gives Scholz the authority to do so.

Scholz's lawyer Craig Pinkus said to Bloomberg via email "Tom Scholz filed to reclaim his copyrights, as many artists have done recently." He also said that "The lawsuit from Mr. Ahern apparently seeks to resolve those rights in court. Mr. Scholz is confident in his legal position."

Ahern had previously sued Scholz in the nineties for breach of contract.

UPDATE - March 21: You can now view the lawsuit document, which also contains the original Notice of Termination.
