In 2006, Sony released remasters for Boston and Don't Look Back. Before the scheduled release of the remasters, Tom Scholz was able to stop mass distribution of the remasters Sony had planned to release while Tom worked away for days remastering the albums. In Canada, the original Sony remasters ended up for sale in certain stores before they could be pulled from the shelves. The Sony versions also had live material included.
The Tom Scholz versions of the remasters were definitelly worth waiting for as they sounded much better than the ones Sony had originally done.
