If you get a chance to see Boston live, take advantage of it. The opportunity doesn't around often.

But if you were planning to catch the Boston, Mass.-based classic rockers at Casino Rama Thursday night, you're out of luck. The show is sold out.

"People are hungry to hear it," said David Victor, guitarist, vocalist and newest member of the band, which has sold millions of albums and penned such hits as More Than A Feeling, Foreplay/Long Time, Smokin', and Amanda.

The experience has been a thrill for Victor, who was "one of those YouTube pickups."

The band became aware of a video of Victor performing Smokin' and he was invited to join. He has only played a handful of shows with Boston, and audiences have loved it.

"They've been really responding extremely well," he told The Packet & Times.

Being a fan of the band before joining them has made the experience that much more surreal. But he's not star-struck by his own bandmates. Victor takes a realistic approach to the music he performs.

One of the best parts is the fact "the message is so straightforward and hopeful and positive and simple in its own way."

While Boston has seen a number of musicians come and go over the years -- including the tragic death of vocalist Brad Delp in 2007 -- everything still adds up when they hit the stage.

"It sounds like Boston," Victor said. "The guitars are all there, the drums and the big vocals are there."

He sees each performance as an individual work of art.

"Everybody brings their own life experience and musical experience to the table and you get a mix," he said. "It's an experience that won't ever happen again, even performance to performance."

And it's not only the audience that gets blown away by the show, which is always loaded with Boston's signature loud, layered music. Victor, too, feeds off the energy.

"Just feeling the energy from the audience -- wow," he said. "The revamping of the band has brought a bit of renewed energy, a sense of excitement."
